SLICE NOTES
SLICE was a 100 day project to create what I named 'slice poems'. From fragments I wrote, collected, and sliced up, I arranged four lines into a poem. Every morning, I took photos of the four lines using natural light in my studio and posted one per day on Instagram using a serial number as caption.
”Right now, my writing practice consists of lines and themes looping in my mind, things I notice and I’m curious to dive into. Arranging gave me the control to experiment with perspective and meaning. I set guidelines for the series, which you might notice if you're looking close. The purpose of this project was to have fun and work on my endurance for finishing work, regardless of my perfectionist tendencies. I aimed to amuse myself with the result.
